What standards of conduct are expected of students at the University of Minnesota?
Minimum standards of conduct are necessary to safeguard the rights and welfare of students, faculty, and staff. Students are expected to adhere to the student conduct code, which can be viewed at www.sja.umn.edu. Student Judicial Affairs is responsible for handling concerns regarding breaches of this policy.
We have a process to assist you with resolving concerns about DS services and to assist DS in resolving concerns about the individuals we serve. Here are the steps to follow.
- In most situations, concerns should first be discussed between the disability specialist and the student.
- If concerns persist, they should be brought to the assistant director of Student Services in DS.
- If concerns still persist, they should be brought to the director of DS.
- If you believe that you may have been discriminated against because of your disability, consult with the University of Minnesota Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action at 612-624-9547.
