Who is eligible for services?
Current and prospective University of Minnesota students with a documented disability condition may register with DS. A disability is defined according to state and federal legislation as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, such as walking, standing, seeing, hearing, speaking, learning, working, sitting, breathing, or self care.
If your condition does not meet the definition of a disability, DS will give you information and a referral to other campus and community resources.
