Boynton Health Service provides accessible medical services to eligible students, staff, faculty, alumni, and families.

Boynton's Mental Health Clinic is limited to degree seeking students who have some form of hospitalization insurance and are currently paying the student service fees.

Emergency Care When Boynton Is Closed

If you are in a life-threatening emergency, call 911. For phone counseling, you may call the Crisis Connection at (612) 379-6363 or the Suicide Hotline at (612) 347-2222.

When Boynton is closed, you can call or be seen at a community crisis facility, such as:

  • Hennepin County Crisis Intervention Center
    701 Park Avenue South, Minneapolis
    (612) 347-3161
  • The emergency room at Fairview-University Medical Center
Riverside Campus, 2450 Riverside Ave., on the West Bank
    (612) 672-6402

The Hennepin County Crisis Intervention Center and Fairview-University Medical Center charge fees for their services. Clients who use these services in person may incur charges.

Urgent Mental Health Consultation

You do not need to have an appointment to speak with a mental health counselor on an urgent basis. You may want to talk about your own issues, or you may want to discuss concerns you have about someone else. Call (612) 625-8475 and a clinical social worker will talk with you directly about what might be best to do about your concerns.
