Scholarship opportunities for students with disabilities

Disability Services, in partnership with private donors and the University of Minnesota Foundation, is developing scholarship opportunities for students with disabilities. Distributions from the funds will be used to partially or fully cover educational expenses of students with disabilities who have been selected by Disability Services according to established criteria.

Buuck Family Fund for Disability Services

The purpose of the Buuck Family Fund is to provide access to higher education, opportunities for enhancing or supporting learning, and support for guidance or training in the development of self advocacy and leadership for students with disabilities at the University of Minnesota. The endowment fund was created through a generous gift from Robert and Gail Buuck. Distributions from the fund will be used to partially or fully cover educational expenses of students with disabilities who have been selected by Disability Services according to established criteria.

Marshall Access and Education Fund (MAEF)

The purpose of the Marshall Access and Education Fund (MAEF) is to enhance opportunities for learning for students with disabilities at the University of Minnesota. The fund was established by alumni of Marshall High School. Annual distributions from the fund will be used to enhance both access to the University of Minnesota and learning opportunities for students with disabilities. Talk with your disability specialist if you're interested in applying.

Credit accommodations

Your Disability Specialist may recommend that you receive a credit accommodation from the Office of Student Finance. This credit accommodation would allow you to receive the benefits of a full time student while taking a reduced course load.

The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
