Managing Employees with Hidden Disabilities

Employees with disabilities and medical conditions are increasingly present in the workplace. Supervising these employees can present challenges, especially if the condition is hidden. Representatives from Disability Services will help you:
- Understand key points of the Americans with Disabilities Act
- Explore challenges of hidden disabilities in the workplace
- Respond appropriately to an employee when a medical condition is disclosed
- Use the accommodation process effectively
Family Medical Leave Act: FMLA and U

This session will provide a refresher for understanding the FMLA and how it relates to management at the University. Participants will look at real life examples to explore the overlap and application of the University’s FMLA and other leave policies and the relationship of FMLA to workers compensation, medical, and disability leaves.

Individual consultations to supervisors and their departments
We also offer individual consultations to supervisors on a range of topics, such as these:
