Sign Language Interpreting and Captioning
Faculty and staff who are eligible for sign language interpreting or captioning services will need to request services at least in advance of the need for services. Faculty may request services for meetings and other University related events by contacting the Interpreting Captioning Unit (ICU).
Document Conversion
Faculty and staff who are eligible for document conversion may request their work related print material be converted into an accessible format (e.g. Braille, large print, and electronic formats). Requests for converted materials should be arranged with the assistance of a UReturn specialist.
Access Assistants
From time-to-time faculty and staff may need assistance in completing their work. they may be assigned a student worker, Access Assistant, as an accommodation.
Computer Accommodations Program (CAP)
The University of Minnesota's Computer Accommodations Program (CAP) is a partnership of Academic & Distributed Computing Services (ADCS) and Disability Services (DS). The program exists to assist university students, staff and faculty with disabilities in accessing computers and information through the use of adaptive technology.
